MEMBERS PRESENT: Michael, Beach, Nebraska Educational Telecommunications; Brenda Decker, Department of Administrative Services; Steve Schafer, Chief Information Officer; Michael Winkle, Nebraska Information Technology Commission; and Walter Weir, University of Nebraska

MEMBERS ABSENT: Christy Horn University of Nebraska

ROLL CALL AND MEETING NOTICE

Mr. Weir called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. The meeting notice was posted to the NITC and Nebraska Public Notice Calendar Web sites on November 20, 2000. Roll call was taken. Five members were present. A quorum existed in order to conduct official business.

PUBLIC COMMENT

There was no public comment

REVIEW - Draft RFP for the Nebraska Information System (NIS) Project

Tom Conroy, NIS Project Director, and members of the NIS team were available to discuss the draft RFP (PDF 209k) for the NIS project. Panel members and the NIS project team discussed issues and potential changes to the draft RFP. Panel members agreed that a report detailing the review should be prepared for approval at the December meeting and then presented to the NITC and NIS project sponsor.

NEXT MEETING DATE

The next regular meeting of the Technical Panel will be Tuesday, December 12, 2000.

ADJOURNMENT

Mr. Weir adjourned the meeting at 3:50 p.m.
