SECURE E-MAIL UPDATE
Allan Albers, HHS

The working group has reviewed and discussed several option for secure e-mail. The group has recommended the use of a secure, Web-based system. HHS and the Workers Compensation Court are working with IMServices to develop a secure e-mail Web site utilizing IMServices' Guardian authentication.

Steve Henderson arrived at 1:50 pm

Other agencies will be able to use the system. If an agency wants to use the system, they must have a Lotus Notes license. They do not need to use Lotus Notes but they will need the license. Approximate cost of the system include a one-time cost of $36,000, and ongoing cost of $795 per month plus $8 per month for storage over 1 GB. At this time, users will not be able to self-register but Guardian will allow for this if an agency needs this functionality.
