Workgroups
The Education Council may, as it deems necessary, form task forces, teams, working groups, and special, ad hoc, and standing subcommittees to carry out its mission and responsibilities.
Task Groups for NITC Strategic Initiative
The Education Council co-chairs have appointed two task groups to work on the NITC Strategic Initiative's action items that are part of the Statewide Technology Plan.

Communications
The Communication Task Group's main responsibility is to provide, develop insight, and oversee the Network Nebraska communications strategy surrounding overall network satisfaction, network updates, and the promotion of network services.
Digital Education
The Digital Education Task Group's main responsibility is to implement a robust Nebraska digital education environment by focusing on homogenous practices, professional development of digital educators, and the promotion of affordability initiatives.
Security
The Security Task Group's main responsibility is to develop, promote, and encourage participation in statewide cybersecurity practices in Nebraska K-20 educational entities.
