Education Council

The Education Council is the NITC advisory group that represents public and private K-20 education. Representatives are nominated by their respective sectors and approved by the Commission. Acting as a catalyst to encourage education entities and organizations to work together for the common good, the NITC action items are used to document future initiatives that would help improve education technology throughout the state. The Education Council also reviews and prioritizes IT projects as recommendations to the NITC, which are submitted by education-related state agencies (e.g., NET, NDE, CCPE, University of Nebraska, State College System) as part of the biennial budget process.
