· (1:55) That living room conversation with your insurance agent

  • As with insurance, DR planning is largely risk mitigation
  • Said another way – easier to scale plans down, than to scale up
  • Another reality – we do NOT have unlimited human, financial resources

· (2:10) Continued evolution, or do we need a bit of a “big bang”?

  • Nebraska is in a better place today that we were 18 months ago
    • Large scale computing data
    • Portable communications system
  • Current risk may still be considered high…too high?

· (2:35) Next steps

  • Meetings to better understand agency communities of shared data
  • Meetings to better understand enterprise vs. agency-specific technology dependencies
  • Exercise planning
  • Next version – the “Windows Vista” of our efforts
