The next meeting of the Education Council will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 9:00am CT. The meeting will be held at Varner Hall Lower Level, 3835 Holdrege Street, Lincoln.

Education Council

The Education Council is the NITC advisory group that represents public and private K-12 education, and public and private higher education. Representatives are nominated by their respective sectors and approved by the Commission. Acting as a catalyst to encourage education entities and organizations to work together for the common good, the NITC action items are used to document future initiatives that would help improve education technology throughout the state. The Education Council also reviews and prioritizes I.T. projects as recommendations to the NITC, that are submitted by education-related state agencies (e.g. NET, NDE, CCPE, University of Nebraska, State College System) as part of the biennial budget process.
